"Oblivion" Wooden Assemblage wall art 21.5"x17"x3" 2021
"Oblivion" is Benkin’s newest 17 peice custom sawed assembage painting.. The painted eyes are looking down from above and the tears are raindrops nurtering the earth.. In the middle of it’s “forehead” rests a 2d star (2 individual cuts of wood put tigether) liken to a thrid eye. Below two wooden hand cut out moths circle a wooden cut out full moon. Individually cut out lightening bolts are coming down yet there is still a rainbow (not the typical rgbiv kind tho!). At the bottom two skeleton friends hang out peacably not minding the rain, seemingly protacted by the rainbow they are lounging under..The rainbow is painted atop three house shape wood cuts. The skeletons are two peices each- and have hand cut .75” thick heads attached to their hand cut 0.25” bodies. This peice was a labor of love. and each peice was individually drawn, cut, sandedl. This dynamic work will be a stunning centerpeice in any place it dwells. This is a one of a kind ,made from scratch, modern fine craft meets fine art.work. It’s ready to hang and signed on the back.
